Here's a question, Why is it so hard to find pictures and almost impossible to find films
(without buying them) of Harry Langdon? It's very seldom you ever see a Harry Langdon
film come on Television, And if you do, it's mostly his 1940's B-Movies. Sure, everyone
says he's one of the greatest comedians of the Silent era, then why does nobody ever
play him? Thankfully for Kino, we can at least get them on DVD. But then, how is
anyone who doesn't already like Harry going to discover him? Well, if you've got a
fast computer you can watch some of his films on Youtube and other video sites.
But even then it's very limited and usually very low quality. But sadly that's the best
your gonna get unless you go buy DVD. If only you could ask TCM to play a Harry
Langdon film, right? Well, you can, but there's at least thousands of other request
for films, so why would they listen to one little request for a Harry Langdon film?
So you pretty much have to have a computer to really see Harry. You can find
some very rare pictures (if there is any) on eBay or eMoviePoster weekly. It's
just a matter of and looking in the right places, we must keep the love alive!
